Paragliding is a sport that offers pilots the chance to fly, by means of a fabric wing designed to take off using the thrust of the pilot's legs. This thrust allows the pilot to take off and the parafoil to swell and fly using the sun's energy as well as gravitational force. The special aerodynamic profile of the parafoil means it is possible to use thermal and dynamic currents and to fly for hours in particularly favourable conditions. To practise this sport, it is necessary to attend theory and practical courses about flying techniques, aerodynamics and meteorology.
